Acolytes
Students in 9th grade confirmation students help lead worship by lighting candles and assisting the pastor. Acolytes usually serve for a month at a time, and will be assigned two months during their year of service.
Altar Guild
Altar Guild is the organization that prepares and cares for the worship spaces at Grace Lutheran. Flower arrangements, preparation for baptism, communion and many other worship related preparations are the work of Altar Guild. Altar Guild meets periodically during the year. There is also a Funeral Committee and a Wedding Committee to care for those services. If you are interested in Altar Guild, please call any of the officers:
2011 Officers:

Communion Servers
Communion Assistants assist during communion services with the distribution of communion. Usually, volunteers serve 1-2 times per year at either of the Sunday services. If you would like to serve as a Communion Assistant, please contact Pastor Andrea.
Decorating Team
The Decorating Team works to decorate the church for various seasons of the church year. This includes setting up and decorating the large Christmas trees in the sanctuary during the Advent season, as well as other seasonal displays throughout the building. For more information, please contact one of the pastors.
Greeters
Greeters do just that: they greet people as they come into the building for worship. This is an easy way to get to know others and nurture the hospitality of the congregation. Volunteers serve 2-3 Sundays a year at either the 8:30 or 11:00 am worship service. If you would like to be a Greeter, please contact Pastor Andrea.
Scripture Readers
Scripture Readers are key players in the worship services. By reading the appointed Bible readings for the day, and leading the psalm, Readers help bring God's word to life! Readers serve 2-3 times per year at either the 8:30 or 11:00 am service. If you would like to serve as a reader, please call the church office (373-6496).
Ushers
Ushers at our worship services are scheduled for one month at a time. There are 12 teams each with a captain. Ushers greet people coming into worship, hand out the worship folder, receive the offering, and provide assistance to worshipers during the service. If you would like to be an usher or a substitute usher, please call the church office (373-6496).
