When you drive up to the Grace Lutheran Church building, you notice that it is different from all the buildings around it. Its architecture speaks of another time. It speaks of another world. The building of Grace Lutheran Church speaks of the kingdom of heaven.

Then there is something even more different when you enter Grace Lutheran Church. The worship space speaks of its purpose: sanctuary. The focus of the room is a great stone table from which God’s people are fed with forgiveness. There is a pulpit from which the Word of God goes out to calm the storms of life and empower believers for the journey ahead. The stained glass windows filter the light from the outside into images of the life of Jesus Christ for all to see. And there are the timbers of the massive roof that surround God’s people with the assurance that all are safe in God’s hands.

It sounds like there is some magic in the materials that make Grace Lutheran Church. But there is no magic. There is the Word of God calling, gathering, forgiving, empowering and sending God’s people. Albert Lea is blessed with many beautiful church buildings. But the church is God’s people sent into the world with the message and life of Jesus.

The people of Grace Lutheran Church welcome you to enter another world: the world of forgiveness, the world of new life for every day, the world of the Word of God remaking our lives and world by the cross of Jesus Christ.
