Grace Lutheran Church - Education


     Grace Lutheran’s Children’s Ministry enhances our faith by supporting the promises made during Holy Baptism by nurturing children and their families in their relationship with God and one another.

Sunday School
  • Sunday School starts the Sunday after Labor Day and ends on Mothers’ Day.
  • Classes are 9:45-10:45am.
  • Classes start with 4 year olds and go through junior high Bible studies.

  • Faith Stepping Stones
         Sunday School also includes Faith Stepping Stones, a ministry that celebrates growing in faith throughout the younger years of life. Faith Stepping Stones include
  • Baptism;
  • Cradle Roll;
  • Third Grade Bibles;
  • Fifth Grade First Communion;
  • Seventh Grade Entrance to Confirmation;
  • Tenth Grade Confirmation;
  • Tenth Grade Confirmation;
  • High School Graduation (Baccalaureate);

  • Confirmation
         Confirmation is for 7th-9th graders on Wednesday September through May with a week at Good Earth Village after the 8th grade year.

         Confirmation is an intensive learning and faith nurture time that includes Bible study, service projects and fellowship events. Confirmation begins in 7th grade and students are confirmed on Reformation Sunday (last Sunday in October) of their 10th grade year.

    Adult Education
  • Adult Forum Sunday morning: 9:45am.
  • Tuesday Morning Bible Study: 10am.
  • Thursday Morning Bible Study: 6am.
  • Thursday evening Bible Study: 7pm.

  • Vacation Bible School/Day Camp
         Vacation Bible School or Day Camp is a time honored traditional learning and fellowship ministry held for 1 week during the summer.

    Bible Camp
         Youth and adults are encourage to take in the many and varied camping opportunities at Good Earth Village in Spring Valley. Good Earth Village is an ELCA camp only 1 hour away from Grace Lutheran Church. Scholarships are available for youth who attend Good Earth Village.
